Resources regarding Coronavirus/COVID19

Canadian Pediatric Society - scroll down to the middle of the screen for resources for patients and families!

AboutKidsHealth - a great resource from the Hospital for Sick Children - this link directs you automatically to more about Coronavirus/COVID19

COVID Support - a resource built by Dr. Gupta (one of our pediatricians) which outlines various resources including financial supports, mental health supports, etc

Southlake Town Hall - a recording of the Town Hall where local Pediatricians discuss the details of COVID vaccines in kids

SickKids COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Consult Service - a by-appointment phone service that provides a safe, judgement-free space to have an open conversation about the COVID-19 vaccine for children and youth (ages 5 and up)

COVID-19 Vaccine - a question & answer pamphlet about the COVID-19 vaccine and kids developed by the Pediatricians of Ontario; for more see Kids Health First

www.aboutkidshealth.ca - a great website published through the Hospital for Sick Children that provides a general overview on common health issues for kids/adolescents

www.caringforkids.cps.ca - another great resource from the Canadian Pediatric Society (CPS), the national association of pediatricians

Child Development Resources

Nippising Developmental Screen - now called the LookSee Checklist, a useful and free tool to track the development of your child

CDC Development Checklist - another useful tool to refer to and follow along for age specific checkpoints in your child’s early development

Children’s Treatment Network - CTN provides therapy for children with developmental needs in the York region and some surrounding communities

York Region Speech and Language - publicly funded program for preschool speech/language therapy

Tri-Regional Infant Hearing Program and Tri-Regional Blind Low Vision Program - provide services for infants and children with hearing and/or vision concerns

Autism Resources

Ontario Autism Program - if your child has been diagnosed with autism, registration for the Ontario Autism Program is done via this website

Autism Ontario - a useful resource including finding a Service Navigator (click here)
